Annette Mims Franklin is a Clinical Laboratory Technologist with a lifelong passion for photography. After discovering her love for the art during college, she found solace and joy in capturing the world around her, particularly during the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Inspired by the beauty of nature, she often explores parks in Long Island, capturing the vibrant birdlife. The energy of New York City also captivates her, from the iconic Freedom Tower and the dazzling billboards of 42nd Street to the majesty of airplanes and the serene beauty of moonlit skies and sunsets.
With a portfolio exceeding 10,000 images, Annette has showcased her work in several exhibitions, including a group show with her son’s artistic collective, “The Freaks,” and exhibits at the Brooklyn Art Cave. While she admires renowned photographers like Annie Liebowitz and Gordon Parks, her primary goal is to create images that bring joy and inspire others.
